Crazy for youuuuuu

by car.

That’s the name of this year’s musical. never heard of it till a coupla days ago o.O

.

i remember looking up the plot in wiki, but then i just gave up trying to understand it, since it was soooo confusing. The current impression im getting, is that it’s based on the disco era in…80s? coz at the rehearsal on tuesday (first for yr 10s, since we had work ex) we basically learnt the whole beginning already O_O which is pretty darn fast. and it had a LOT of table-wiping, bird-wings flapping, hand flicks, and “zoom, zoom, zooms”. That reminded everyone of the mazda ads. And the CLICKING OH MY. soooo much clicking. i reeli feel for those ppl who cant click with their fingers, coz the whole beginning is mostly clicks. I dont remember much else, cept that the girl moves were reeli girly, and the there was this tenor move, which was like “zing zing zing” with their hands, and it was waaaaaaaaay girly. the bass move for that part was described by Jeff as scooping out icecream. xDD next bit was slow-mo running from the police by Tree. At least now, i remember the moves xD

.

we’re moving along pretty fast in it, and they introduced this new attendance/behaviour system, which is basically that if you get three strikes, you’re out of the musical. Sayonara. But there we were, me and chewbey, thinking that they cant afford to kick anyone out this year! the hall was pretty empty… but band was on, so maybe we’ll see more ppl on friday. and this year, we cant skip any rehearsals without handing in a permission note, otherwise, that’s one strike. gay much? i dont think i can go this saturday ==”

.

i have a crudload of hw. german, maths test, pe, english speaking, SLP (we have NOT started we are screwed chewbey). and a billion other things i have to attend too… year 10 is WAY BUSY.

and ALERT ALERT. i have detected a second “velcro”. i think you guys will call me mean tho. but YOU’LL SEE.

.

HAPPY BDAY LOZ!!!

i know you wont read my email till the hols, but ah well… we’ll prob see each other then ^.^

today was over really quickly.  i’m surprised.

i had to walk home, because i forgot my bus pass at home and i felt exercise-y, and strangely i didn’t regret it!  give yourself a pat on the back, bezzle!

started off the day doing my homework before rollcall, as usual.  and it turned out i didn’t need to do it, but it made me look good in front of my english teacher (:  don’t you think that there’s a lot of excessive nudity in movies?  what directors will do to get more viewers…

then ballroom dancing.  salsa.  before, i thought of the dance, but now i think of nachos.  we had a dance teacher (!) and she was the same person as the one who taught us hiphop last year (!!).  it was at least much more productive than what i did in year six, which involved a teacher telling us to step forward, back and side to side with our arms out when we stepped so we looked like marionettes and her moving her hips and saying ‘flair!’ and yeah.  *cringe*

like carmen, i started with cold hands and ended up with warm, more-than-slightly sweaty hands.

japanese was funny.  ben: “thank you captain obvious!”  the loft is awesome.  even ‘THE LOFT’ sounds new-yorky.

commerce was blah.  our teacher is really good at explaining stuff though.  i think we’re actually going to do work this year.  gulp.

hey!  ‘gulp’ is ‘plug’ backwards!

i just heard zac efron on the radio.

dad is watching the vancouver olympics and it just amazes me how fast people can ski downhill.  the skiers look like they’re holding bent sticks.  i want to visit vancouver, i have an aunt there.  she used to live with me, but she says it’s even better at canada.  mum entertained the notion of us going to canada last year, but instead we went to the gold coast.  i want to see the snow.  i like it how everyone on tv looks cosy and warm in their coats and mittens and scarves.  mum probably thinks i’ll get frostbite or something.

to the person who told me that all i did was rant about life, i’m going to file this under ‘school’.

and you know who you are.

[and here’s a smilie to offset any rant xD]

when it rains, it pours

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR & VALENTINE’S DAY EVERYBODY~ share the love and money!

(err what why isn’t the exclamation mark red?)

once again, i’m stuck at home all on my lonesome, because i have a lot of homework.  it’s raining again.

this morning, as i was frying pancakes/french toast, my sister started yelling at my brother (nothing unusual really) but she showed my why – a cut twenty-dollar bill.  you know how kiddies get red envelopes with money for new year?  yeah well the twenty dollar bill didn’t fit, so he cut the top off.  and i think he also cut a ten dollar bill in half too.

here’s the pancake recipe i used.  it makes really nice vanilla-y puffy pancakes like the ones you buy at supermarkets.

~FLUFFY PANCAKES~

dry ingredients

1 1/4 cups plain flour

1/4 cups sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

a pinch of salt

liquid ingredients

1 1/4 cups milk

1/4 cups oil or melted butter

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients.  In a measuring cup, combine liquid ingredients.

Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients and mix to combine.

Preheat frying pan.  When frying pan is hot enough, a drop of water will ‘dance’ and sizzle away.

With a good non-stick frying pan, you won’t have to use cooking spray.  If not, use cooking spray or a small pat of butter.

Pour a soup ladle full of batter into the frying pan.

Flip when the top has bubbles and a half inch of the edge looks dry.

Cook’s Note: Variation – For extra fluffy pancakes, separate the egg and whip the white until soft peaks form.  Buttermilk may also be used instead of milk – reduce baking powder to 1 1/2 teaspoons and 1/2 teaspoons soda.  Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, if desired.

first day

by bezzle

well, nothing important, that is.  spent the whole day in my pyjamas (for which i got told off for later), played computer games because everyone else was out and also played monopoly, which i lost.

i’m beginning to like pineapple buns more and more.  if you don’t know what i’m talking about, they look like this:

can be bought for around a dollar at asian bakeries (love the golden palace bakery at hurstville!) and are usually plain or filled with custard cream of red bean paste.  why are they called pineapple buns (direct translation from chinese)though?  they don’t taste like pineapple.  i used to think it might be because the pattern looks like a pineapple, but then wouldn’t it be called a turtle bun?

the more i think about it, the more annoyed i get about the fact that we have homework.

finished reading  handle with care, jodi picoult’s latest book.  it was very very depressing and the parents were so slack to their elder daughter.  when i got to the end i got a bit miffed because the ending was predictable, but the final pages had a very sad twist.

hm, i think our blog is going to be a bit quiet during the holidays (?termbreak?).  on my part, at any rate.
